There is a setting for Cat5 cables, but I find that the Coax setting works better for the thicker Cat6 cables we use in our server room. While the flag labels let you put a much more lengthy set of information on them, but you get a flag that sticks out and can get in the way. The horizontal cable labels are really neat and compact, but you only get a few characters and a couple of lines at most. The best method depends on how you want the cables to be labeled and how much information you want to stuff on a little piece of vinyl. You can print the text at each end and it lets you attach it like a flag on the cable for the flag mode. Another positive recommendation for the Rhino 5000 labeler.įor cables, we use either 3/4" industrial vinyl labels (black on white generally) that lets us wrap it with the text aligned along the cable or 1/2" industrial vinyl labels for flag labels. ![]()
